Over the years, incubators have expanded their services and facilities to create the right environment for their clients to develop and grow their businesses.

To fully support the young entrepreneurs, a range of business support resources and services are developed and made available by the incubator management. Science Based Incubators seek to attract high-tech start-ups and lead them to a successful graduation within a relatively short period of time.

This is a challenging mission and many questions arise on how to enhance the quality of the incubator to achieve success.

For the last seven years The Technology Network have successfully organised the annual incubator conferences and award on 'Best Practices in Science Based Incubators'. The first SBI was organised in 2002, this has developed into a memorable event which includes the annual Best Science Based Incubator Award ceremony.

Every year there are 50 incubators that participate in this competition. The Innovation Tour, Conference and award will take place on 17 till 19 November 2010 in Liverpool, United Kingdom and will be organised in cooperation with Liverpool Science Park.
